Peppol E-Invoicing Without the PKI: Sending Invoices with One API Call
Peppol means BIS 3.0 UBL, Schematron validation, AS4 transport and certificates. How e-Gate turns all of that into a single JSON request, for the UAE and beyond.
By Bytize Team1 min read

Peppol is the network behind e-invoicing mandates in Belgium, Germany, France, Singapore, the UAE, Oman and more. Joining it directly means producing UBL documents, running validation rules, holding certificates and transmitting over AS4. e-Gate, our Peppol service, takes that work off your team.
How it works
- Sign up and issue an API key. Test keys point at a sandbox, so you can test end to end without real traffic.
- POST your invoice as JSON: line items, totals and the buyer's Peppol participant ID. The payload is the same for every country.
- e-Gate maps it to Peppol BIS 3.0 UBL, validates it against the official OpenPEPPOL Schematron rules, then signs and transmits it via AS4 to the buyer's Access Point.
- You get the receipt: status webhooks on every change, and signed AS4 receipts kept in your archive.
What you no longer have to manage
- Certificates: Access Point credentials live in our vault, and we sign with our certificate
- Country rules: XRechnung, FR CIUS, SG Peppol, PINT-AE and PINT-OM are handled server-side
- Validation: failures are parked for human review, never silently dropped
- Inbound invoices: they arrive parsed into the same JSON shape you use to send
An audit trail you can prove
Every transmission is recorded in a per-tenant SHA-256 hash chain, so you can show what was sent, when, and that it hasn't changed.
Why the UAE matters
The UAE's national e-invoicing runs on Peppol, with Phase 1 for large taxpayers from July 2026 under the FTA-published PINT-AE rules. Bytize Technology Solutions LLC is an OpenPeppol member, listed in the UAE as an Access Point Provider and an SMP Provider.
